BUMS Admission 2026 – Fees, Cutoff, Seat Matrix, Eligibility & Documents Required
BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) is a 5.5-year undergraduate medical degree (including 1 year internship) focused on the Unani system of medicine, which is a traditional form of healing based on herbal treatments, diet therapy, and holistic care. Admission to BUMS in India is done through the NEET-UG exam, and candidates must qualify NEET with the required cutoff set by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). The eligibility generally requires passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, along with Urdu or Arabic or Persian (in some institutions) as an additional requirement. After completing BUMS, graduates can work as Unani doctors, open clinics, pursue postgraduate studies (MD in Unani), or work in hospitals and research institutions.
